Fintech engineering executive with decades of experience building and scaling payment platforms and financial products across public companies and high-growth startups. Combining product strategy, architectural modernization, and disciplined execution to deliver business outcomes.
What I'm Looking For Next
I'm exploring two paths: VP/SVP of Engineering at a growth-stage or public company, or CTO / founding engineering leader at an early-stage startup. Payments and fintech are where I've gone deepest — $1B+/day in volume at BILL, $10B+/year in cross-border at Veem, and PayPal's global credit platform. But the skills transfer well: scaling revenue-critical platforms, modernizing legacy systems without breaking them, and building teams that own their outcomes under real compliance pressure.
I'd love to apply this in fintech again, but I'm equally interested in commerce, healthtech, SaaS infrastructure, or AI-native products — anywhere engineering is a strategic lever, not just a cost center. I also believe Agentic AI is about to change how engineering teams operate, and I want to be building in that shift, not watching it.
What interests me most:
- Revenue-critical platforms where engineering quality shows up directly in the P&L
- 0→1 bets: new products, new markets, new network effects
- Reshaping how teams build and ship using AI and agentic workflows
- Scaling global platforms that have to be fast, compliant, and always on
- Engineering cultures rooted in ownership, craft, and measurable outcomes
